Your eyes are too ⭐ precious to ignore our 📢 advice!

"Always consult a qualified ⚕️ ophthalmologist or an 🎓 optometrist for your eye health and vision care, and not just any refractionist."

The accuracy of an eye 🔬 test relies heavily on the knowledge and expertise of the 🔎 examiner.

Errors due to 🚫 lack of knowledge or ⚠️ insufficient technical skills can result in incorrect prescriptions, which may 📉 worsen your vision problems.

Know the difference

Who is an ⚕️ ophthalmologist?

An experienced medical 🩺 doctor specializing in diagnosis, treatment and management of 👁 eye disorders, including vision corrections. After 🏆 completing a MBBS degree, they undergo practical training on various aspects of your eye health.

🎓 Optometrist

An optometrist graduates after 🎖️ completing a four-year degree program, such as a Bachelor of Optometry (B. Optom) or its 🟰 equivalent. This includes a period of hands-on ⚙️ training under the guidance and 👀 supervision of qualified optometrists.

Refractionist

Required competency - 12th passed

Often referred to as an optician, refractionists are rather trained on determining the lenses required for your eyeglasses based on a prescription provided by an ophthalmologist or optometrist.

Refractionists are not qualified to conduct comprehensive eye examinations independently.
